My work combines the repetition of form through mould making and the hand finished qualities of the potter. My pots are hand painted with terre sigillata and coloured slip. They are bisque fired before being placed into the chaos of smoke-firing, where the darkened hues and subtleties of colour produce a tonal richness. They are buffed and polished making them irresistible to touch. They reflect the archaeological history and beauty of decay in our world.
